At the end of August, Erin from our Social Media team, was given the opportunity to spend her bank holiday weekend on her first cruise, sailing to Southampton.
Erin couldn’t wait to get back and tell us about her trip. Here is what she told us 👇
“Last month I got to spend my bank holiday on P&O Cruises Arcadia which was a wonderful experience. Arcadia was my first cruise and it was a lovely weekend to have spent on the ship and see what she had to offer!
After embarkation, we had a guided tour around the ship before being allowed to go and explore the ship ourselves and get ready for the evening. The first evening onboard was the ‘formal night’ where we had the opportunity to get dressed up and dine in the main restaurant, Meridian. The staff were so attentive and the food was delicious. After dinner, we made our way to The Palladium Theatre to catch the end of the show before heading back to our cabins.
The next day we spent exploring the ship more and socialising with the other agents who were on the ship. For breakfast and lunch, we went to The Belvedere, the onboard buffet, where there were many options available for all dietary requirements and/or preferences. I also had the opportunity to use some of the facilities during the day, such as the pools, jacuzzis, library, and bars.
The second night onboard, we went to the Ocean Grill restaurant where we had dinner – and it was definitely my favourite! After dinner we headed straight back to the cabins as we all lost track of time whilst getting to know each other more and had to be up early for disembarkation.
Overall, my short stay on Arcadia was truly a wonderful one. The food was outstanding, there were so many activities for people to do and not forgetting the staff who made me feel right at home. I would definitely recommend her to any adults looking to go on a cruise! ⚓
