“Myself and the team were lucky enough to live the ultimate desert dream on our 5 day tour of Morocco. This trip was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before as we headed into the Sahara Desert for an action packed week. Think crossing the red sand by camel, experiencing the thrills of a 4×4 dune ride and spending your evenings roasting marshmallows by the campfire… and that’s just the start of it! ⛺
Our guide for the week, Mustapha, took us through the picturesque landscapes of the Atlas Mountains. The winding roads gave us an amazing view of the towering peaks accompanied by traditional villages and roadside stalls as we headed towards the Atlas film studios in Ouarzazate. Here we toured the sets of some the world’s most iconic tv shows and movies such as Gladiator, Game of Thrones and The Mummy. 🎬
However my favourite moments had to be the stunning desert scenery! Watching the sun rise and set above the sand dunes and cast a golden glow over the untouched sand was completely breathtaking! 🌅
The evenings were just as mesmerising with the clear skies giving way to millions of stars lighting up night. From comets and galaxies to planets and shooting stars, we could see it all as we set up camp away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The atmosphere as we sat round the campfire listening to live traditional music was unbeatable and an experience i’ll never forget. 💫
I couldn’t fault our 5 day tour as everything was taken care of by G adventures. The whole trip went by smoothly without us having to worry about a thing and the enthusiasm and friendliness of our tour guide Mustapha made the whole holiday all the more memorable!” 💙
