Caitlin from our social media team recently returned from a holiday to Gumbet in Turkey. We caught up with her to find out more about her trip!

Airport ✈️
We flew from Newcastle Airport with Jet2holidays and from the start it was so quick and easy. Security took around 10 minutes as we had fast track which saved so much time, so I do recommend this. We started our trip with refreshments in Bar 11 overlooking the runway.
Returning Bodrum airport took around 30 minutes to get through due to a lot of security checks in place, but it was a quick paced airport and the staff were really helpful and professional throughout the airport.
Transfer 🚍
Once we arrived, we headed over to find our transfer there are Jet2 helpers as soon as you walk out of arrivals which made locating the transfer more convenient. The transfer was a shuttle but we only had 2 drop offs, ours being the first, it took roughly 40 minutes to get to the hotel and the same on return.
Hotel 🏨
I stayed in the Hotel Serpina which was beautiful! It had a Tuscan rustic vibe which was amazing. The most gorgeous layout with greenery and beautiful pink flowers which made such a difference to the overall vibe of the property. We were promptly greeted by the most polite guy who checked us in effortlessly nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The food at the hotel was delicious too but if you like to venture out you are a 5 minute walk from all of the buzzing bars, restaurants and shops, it’s so conveniently located you have everything you need on your doorstep. The beach is a 10 minute walk away from the hotel too where lots of beach bars are located and you get free sunbeds on the beach if you eat or drink at the bars.
Overall, the trip was amazing and the weather ranged from 24 degrees up to approx. 28 degrees the season was just starting but the vibe you got from everyone you spoke to was electric, I can’t wait to return in September!” ☀️
